This is a two day course designed to give outdoor enthusiasts (such as those who fish, bushwalk, 4WD, trail bike, camp) more hands on scenario based first aid training. You will learn the skills and knowledge to provide an advanced first aid response, life support, management of casualty(s), the incident and other first aiders and provide first aid to a casualty in a remote and/or isolated situation until the arrival of medical or other assistance. The content includes trauma management, injury assessment, taping sprained ankles and moving injured patients.
This course is designed to give participants or refresh the skills to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation in accordance with the guidelines and principles recommended by the Australian Resuscitation Council and other peak bodies and requires annual recertification.
This course is designed for those who work in the Outdoor Recreation/wilderness tourist/education industry in a leadership capacity and have already obtained a Wilderness or Remote area first aid qualification. This course provides the skills and knowledge required to provide first aid response, life support, management of casualty(s), the incident and other first aiders, until the arrival of medical or other assistance. This course places a strong emphasis on the principles of first aid, long term patient considerations and includes advanced patient treatment and care skills
The course is designed for those who work in the Outdoor Recreation/wilderness tourist/education industry in a leadership capacity or who are preparing to do so. This course provides the skills and knowledge required to provide first aid response, life support, management of casualty(s), the incident and other first aiders, until the arrival of medical or other assistance.
