Wilderness First Aid - Full course / Beginners
This course is for those that have not completed a Wilderness First Aid course before.
The fee for this course is $745
This is a blended course with self-paced online learning (e-Learning) and 5 days of practical training, this allows us to focus on practical training sessions and scenarios as much as possible.
Before attending the practical training, students will need to complete their e-Learning which can be done in one sitting or over several sessions. Depending on the student's learning ability, they should allow up to 3 hours for reading and e-Learning. Practical training and assessment takes 8 hours per day over 5 consecutive days in a classroom environment.
The course focuses on the skills and knowledge required to provide first aid care to a patient, the patient care required whilst waiting for an extended period of time (more than 2 hours from definitive care) for help to arrive, and also the skills and knowledge to co-ordinate an appropriate emergency response, including communications to emergency services and evacuation considerations.
Wilderness First Aid Recertification/Upgrade
This course is for those that have completed a Wilderness First Aid course before and are looking to recertify their qualification or have completed a Remote First Aid Course and wish to upgrade to a Wilderness Qualification.

ASSESSMENT
Assessment for this course requires successful completion of:
- pre course material prior to course commencement
- a written theory test
- ongoing practical first aid responses.
